I receive a Windows Security Warning upon each bootup regarding a 51kb file titled "startup.exe" in the Windows\System32 folder. I have tried both Run and Cancel, and see no discernable difference. In the Properties for this file, in Digital Signatures tab, Name of signer shows Micro-Star Int'l Co., Ltd. Hi, Ensure that your antivirus is up-to-date and the OS is patched with the latest service pack and hotfixes. Check for autostart entries and remove any reference to "suspicious" executables/programs (including your startup.exe). You can perform a clean boot up and remove certain entries from msconfig. Hi nsn1965, Try the steps below to see if there is any micro-start items enabled when start: 1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window. 2. Click the "Startup" tab, find if there is any "Micro-Start" related item. If so, uncheck it and then click OK. Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.
